    Medicine subjects...

Are you asking me personally?? It's another level. A-levels are made for 18 year olds, GCSE's are made for 16 year olds

    Medicine subjects...

hhahhaa dont mention it my friend :) I want to do engineering myself and have older siblings so I know quite a bit. Look I'll advise you one thing for now: decide what you want to do for sure and just make up your mind. Also, ok imperial is a top college, but apply to the uni in which you think...

    Medicine subjects...

Apart from that, man I don't mean to criticise you, but engineering and medicine are 2 VERY different fields. How is it possible that you are between the two? You should have a basic idea of what you want to do, by now as this will help you have a more stable 2 years. I feel that you haven't...

    Medicine subjects...

Yeah Moostafa this conversation would be pointless if he would be studying in the US as his IB subjects wouldn't really matter. It's obvious he wants UK. And yes NIM, you need higher maths for a top school like imperial (top 10 in the world or something), coz lets face it doctors have to be...

    Medicine subjects...

It's impossible to take 3 sciences in IB, so you can't be taking chem, bio and physics at HL :P For medicine all you need is chemistry to be quite honest. Biology is a subject based on memorising alone, and you are retaught everything again in uni when you study medicine. For a top uni for...

    Really quick question about CAS

Hey guys, I just have a really basic question about CAS hours. Do universities see how your CAS hours have been spent in detail or are they just informed that they have simply been completed? More specifically, is your university acceptance somehow linked to whether you've been playing in 50...

So how was paper 3 biology........answers posted here

Oh and also, you can only get A's on an individual component... The marks gained for that A are the important thing

So how was paper 3 biology........answers posted here

No no... A B on a paper that weighs 20% and two high A's obv give an A*... Its maths. 3 low A's get you an A... But if you get very high A's on 80% of the syllabus, a high B can't get rid of your A*... Don't forget that the scores are dependent on the addition of your results so a low B is bound...

So how was paper 3 biology........answers posted here

Guys a really quick question... Is it possible for someone to get a B on an individual component and still end up with an A* for the entire syllabus? Im not sure how the weighting works but for example, take biology: if you get a B in paper 6 (20% of total), a high A in paper 3 (50% of total)...

    IGCSE grade boundaries

Obviously but theyre always about the same... Still I've never seen a boundary for an A being in the 90's

    IGCSE grade boundaries

Guys, I'm just wondering. Why are the grade thresholds for IGCSE so low!! I mean for most papers 70% is an A in an individual paper and A*'s are like 80%. Are these boundaries valid cause now i seem to understand why people perform so well in these exams!

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

Guys, quick question. What is the empirical formula exactly and what is it used for? Can someone please go over the basic theory behind it?

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

I know right? It always seems like easy marks but I NEVER get all the marks in that question!

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

Ok so here goes guys... Every time a question in the Alternative to practical paper (6) in either chemistry, physics or bio pops up about improving an experiment and making it more fair, I throw away easy marks as I can't seem to identify what can be improved in the experiment. Can someone...
