Really quick question about CAS

Hey guys, I just have a really basic question about CAS hours. Do universities see how your CAS hours have been spent in detail or are they just informed that they have simply been completed? More specifically, is your university acceptance somehow linked to whether you've been playing in 50 different teams or is CAS just there to make sure that you pass IB without being a nerd?

CAS is a component of the IB that is required for you to pass the IB itself, as without the CAS hours, you have not completed the program. Universities may ask you about the IB and you can tell them about CAS yourself. I've heard universities really like the whole idea of CAS so you should definitely let them know what it's about, and what you've done to complete all your hours because they can all go towards counting as extra curriculars.
