    take a screenshot of the question using the printscreen button on your keyboard, edit it in paint to take just the question and not the whole screen... or if u use windows 7 then use the snipping tool. attach this picture as mrpaudel said... and you can just click the post reply button instead...

    i think there are like wayy more online/print resources for cie than for edexcel... so it's easier to prep for cie... plus i somehow can't understand any questions in edexcel past papers. like, i get confused about what they're asking. so i guess it matters what format you're used to.

    to find Σ(x − 50): We know Σ(x)=824. and the total number of students is 16. So Σ(x − 50)= Σ(x) - (16 x 50) = 824 - 800 = 24. to find Σ(x − 50)^2: we know the formula for variance, so substitute the values in it. So you get (Σ(x − 50)^2)/16 - (Σ(x − 50) / 16)^2 = (6.5)^2 using simple algebra...

    225 out of 900 have more than 1002 ml therefore P(X>1002)= 0.25 ==> P(X<1002)= 0.75 z<(1002-mean)/sd from the table of normal distribution, in the critical values table, we get P= 0.75 when z=0.674 so 0.674(8) = 1002 - mean mean = 996.608 or 997

    how can you guess a stats paper?? and isn't it just easier to revise everything? like you know for sure permutations and combinations will come... do a few random questions on that. it's more productive than wasting time making guesses that prolly won't be true anyway...
