Dunno about the stationary or progressive part, but the wave was transverse for sure. They gave an arrow next to the vibrator showing up and down vibrations, whereas the direction of travel for the wave was perpendicular to it.

It is a progressive wave as they have speed and they are transverse due to their motion. Plus, I saw this question somewhere in my textbook XP

About the moment question. Why does the weight does not affected the force Fb?

And regarding the EMF and PD difference
EMF - converts other forms of energy to electrical energy
PD - converts electrical energy to other forms of energy
Is that good enough?
