But still lead (II) Bromide is kind of a solution so it must have water or something ( God knows what) so It would rust
so again your answer is correct!

For the unknown ion, what did you write? I wrote ammonium. Oh and by the way, I totally forgot the last page... :'( that's 8 marks down the drain already, not even considering the ones I got wrong.

Salt anlysis qustion
My cousin wrote white precipitate but in soluble in excess
and then he wrote no precipitate
and then no reaction
and then it was hydrated
and then gave the gas given off to ammonia
and then wrote the cation to be Ca 2+ :LOL:
and he wrote for why we use electric heater
he wrote to control the amount of heat supplied to the contents of the flask and to prevent ethanol from escaping
Is he correct?????

First one white ppt, soluble in excess
second one white ppt... insoluble in excess
third one correct
After that there was one more which was white ppt

No in the second it was a white precipitate !!
and the cation was ammonium ion
And electric heater is used so that ethanol wouldn't catch fire coz it's inflammable and would catch fire it is heated with bunsen burner !!

Ammonium ion is correct coz ammonia gas was being produced !!

Guys which solvent should had been used in paper chromatography experiment
I wrote Methylbenzene as it was insoluble in water
Is this correct?
