    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

i think but i am not sure. It kinda rings a bell

    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

yepp.. i always wrote from red-brown to colorless edit:checked previous mark schemes They literally accept every shade of brown/orange there is

    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

^i dont remember. It was higher than the one given in the question which shows that it is richer than the other one but i dont remember the exact number

    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

hmm.. to vivlio m says red :S ^this. they accept a range of colors

    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

yes, there is a color change , but the final color is not orange. They might accept it but the actual color is red-brown Yes, bromine can't displace the chloride ion out of its compounds (bromine is a worse oxidising agent than chlorine)

    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

ohh.. it was a multiple choice? i forgot. I guess i chose C but i ain't sure For the observation i wrote: red-brown fumes formed which condense to form a red-brown liquid if we are talking about the reaction of chlorine with bromine

    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

the energy released during hydration is greater than the lattice enthalpy I checked the equation and it was like Br2 + H2O <==> 2H^+ + BrO^- + Br^- So, if you add the acid, you increase the concentration of the Hydrogen ions, so according the Le chatelier's principle, the equilibrium will...

    Chemistry unit 2 6CH02 exam.How was it?

if it doesnt show, they are gonna ask for the actual paper

    it's ok

urgent help needed phyiscs unit 2!

I didnt read the question, but when you talk about brightness, always check the power (VI, I^2R, V^2/R) and not the resistance alone

    CHEM UNIT 2!

When it turns pale yellow Otherwise, the color change would be from pale yellow to colorless so it would be too hard to distinguish when the end point is reached So they add starch to get a more observable color change (from blue-black to colorless)

    CHEM UNIT 2!

When it dissolves and there is high concentration of iodine the color is brown. As the thiosulfate converts iodine to iodide the concentraiton of iodine decreases, so the color fades from brown to yellow and then pale yellow. When it turns pale yellow they add the indicator

    CHEM UNIT 2!

Jan 2012: question 17: D, the molecular ion peak is the same because they have the same RFM question 20c) KI reacts with Chlorine and since chlorine is a better oxidising agent than Iodine, it displaces the iodide ion out of its salt causing it to be oxidised to iodine. The solution at this...

    CHEM UNIT 2!

hmm.. yeah sure. If you have time solve other papers from other boards like AQA. They got some very nice questions for organic chemistry and the halogens

    CHEM UNIT 2!

yes Question 18: molecular ion peak is the same since they have the same RFM The fragmentation pattern is different because of the arrangement of the atoms in the carbon skeleton

^whatever you found in Diii , times it by 10 (i think)

    CHEM UNIT 2!

Probably a text about carbon compounds and their effect on the environment and ways to reduce carbon compounds emissions I hope that we get something about carbon and its allotropes (diamond/graphite/nanotubes/fullerenes) because that hasnt come up in quite awhile

acid-base imo. 10)D One fragment that butan-1-ol can form is [C3H7]^+ which butan-2-ol cant form. Just draw the displayed formula of both and you can figure it out 11) C One molecule of 1-2-,dibromoethane with 2 bromine 79 atoms, one with 2 bromine-81 atoms, and one with 1 bromine-79 and 1...

    CHEM UNIT 2!

    6) The answer is B CH4 is definitely not because it only contains london forces, the other 3 contain hydrogen bonds. The answer is between HF or H2O and the answer is H2O because each H2O molecule forms 2 hydrogen bonds per molecule but HF forms only 1 per molecule b)A The molecular formula of...
