WTF CHEMISTRY PAPER 42 IS SO HARD

Amide+ Acohol (insoluble in both)
Amine+ Carboxylic acid ( soluble in both )
Amine+Ester ( Solubile in HCl and Insoluble in NaOH)
Amide+ Phenol ( Insoluble in HCl and soluble in NaOH) am i right guys

This qstn was tough.... I wrote randomly
I guess out of 4, 2 of my boxes are correct
Plus if we make the group according to the boxes and they fit in this molecular formula(C8H9NO2) will I get ecf marks for the structures according to the wrong groups i mention in the boxes?-feeling worried :confused:

You'll most probably get marks if you wrote the correct functional groups not bothering about the molecular formula. or let's you say you don't get a mark for that.. you'll still get an ECF for drawing the structures according to your own functional groups. Of course provided they match the molecular formula . it's very likely to have ecf option here

Wow... Thats saves a lot if it actually happens.... Cox i think two boxes of functional groups are correct and three of my structures obeyed the groups and the molecular formula. I guess i'll get 4marks at least... In Shaa Allah...
Plus what u wrote in the blanks where he asked which functional grp will react with cold HCl and cold NaOH? (Not the Boxes)

you're contradicting yourself. First you say amide is insoluble in both, then you say amide is soluble in NaOH...

No amide is insoluble in both but phenol is present and it's soluble in NaOH so the overall compound will be soluble in NaOH

No I'm not. Amide is neutral in nature that doesn't react with either NaOH or HCl. But considering phenols acid nature it will react with NaOH.

With HCl amine reacts
with NaOH Phenol and Carboxylic Acid reacts .
