why H2SO4 doesnt Dry ammonia

i know it is only calcium oxide which dries ammonia and neutal gases
but why H2SO4 doesnt Dry ammonia
it came as a question in Nov 03 Q5 (D)
in marking it says refrence to reaction..

ammonia is a base. sulphuric acid is an acid. acid+base react. You want to dry ammonia not to make ammonium sulphate ;)

beside there is many reapeated question from old exams
