Which course better, A-Level or Foundation Course?

Recently, I received poor results in my CIE May-June AS Levels. Now, if i repeat, it ill cost me a year which I dont want. Moreover, I got ideas and searched the internet to what I can do without having to make a year gap. So, PLS anyone can explain or give me an idea that whether taking the Foundation Course will be beneficial for me in 2015?
