Trigonometry Math/phy quation

Could someone please remind me, what is the Trigonometric function and the unit circle help us with.(1 quadrant, 2 quadrant ...4 quardant, All Silver Tea Cups)
I have forgot what is its function and where it is used in, please help.

All ( first quadrant) sin , cos , tan all are positive
Silver (second quadrant) S for only sin is positive
Tea ( 3rd) T for only tan is positive
Cups (4th) C for only cos is positive the rest are negative.

First we find the base angle then as according to the sign and the given range we find the angle in the required quadrant.
