Stats doubt! In June 2013 variant 1!

Hey ppl! I've always had problems in permutations and combinations! So pls recommend me any website if u know any! So In June 2013 paper 61! Question 6 ii) it's abt permutations! Now I can't understand what the MS is trying to say! How come is it 9P6 x 8! Shouldn't it be 7P6 x 8! Thanks for your help! Really appreciate it! :D

princess787 Imagine a child standing in place of every '1' in the line above. So if no two adults can stand together, the underscores ' _ ' are the places they can stand.
And there are 6 adults and 9 underscores, so 9P6 :)
