Rounding off Answers in Physics P2 & P4

AOA Guys!

I am solving physics papers nowadays and major problem I have seen in marking scheme is that answer rounding off like 24076J rounded off to 24kJ but sometimes 1588.78m written as 1589m in marking scheme.

Is there any criteria or method for rounding off answers as sometimes in marking scheme there are marks allocated for it.

Ok but 1588.78 to 1589 is not in 3 s.f it should be 1590 for s.f
