Private or Polytechnics?

Can anyone what to choose if i am interested in architect or civil engineering? Private or Polytechnics in singapore?
and i also want to know the annual fee of studying in private and polytechnics.
If u tell me private or poly, can u give me to school name so that i can have a deeper understanding on the school!

For polytechnic this is the one of the best schools in the world, http://rpi.edu/
Other private institutes could be Waterloo, Toronto, Oxford, Harvard, MIT, etc.
Both private and polytechnic are somewhat similar. But for architecture go to polytechnic.
