plz help about grades!!

hello!
Ill be appearing in olevels final exams in may june 2011.The problem is that iam really confused about grading system.PLZ HELP ME.One another question is it same for all subjects??

90+ = A*
80-89= A
70-79= B
60-69= C
50-59=D
below 50 = U

no, giving exams privately or through school does not create difference

it does......here at aus it costs us more to give exams privately...

it isn't same for all!!

If u see the grade thresholds..u'll notice they are different for different papers and diff. subjects!!

and to what chem master has mentioned...it is actually the percentile calculated this way

@dragon: yeahh i live in aus....no i am not a pakistani....and the only difference is that private exams cost more...

Sorry But this is Not the criteria for the grading scheme And nor it is Same for the levels and Subjects
Math_angle is Correct
Different Subjects have Different percentiles and According to those percentiles grades are given
it's not the straight away percentage who would decide your grade
percentile is same for both private and Non private candidates
Be sure before Posting

there's a huge misconception from few months Back !
But percentile is still there in O and A level
And it cant be abolished

if there was No percentile then believe you be candidates would End up Getting C's and D's '

Percentile is Not based on one individual marks !
it is pretty complex procedure , more than it just sounds
