Basically the ball bounces , loses energy so overall speed decreases and direction changes when it bounces (downwards becomes upwards) .
The time thing he mentions is a bit odd. The time for the bounce might be instantaneous but it's nothing that wasn't implied by simply saying bounce. It's not like normally bounces takes time while the ball thinks where to go.
I think however these should be enough for 2 marks.
1. Bounces , direction changes.
2. Energy is lost(sound or heat) , overall speed decreases.

Speed decreasing from B to C duo to loss of energy
Ball bounces of at C changing direction and increasing speed till D

Ball bounces at B mate. The ball is dropped vertically down , accelerates uniformly till it hits the ground at B , bounces and goes up decelerating till it reaches 0 speed at C and then starts falling till it hits the ground at D while accelerating uniformly.
