How did I get the same value for x when I am supposed to get them different. Please help

well u have a mistake in ur calculations .. u said s=-4-2t .. and for -1+s=2+t .. u ddnt substitute well for s here .. check it again

isn't it -4-2t? I brought the positive 2 to the t side

u will get s=3t+3 not s=t+3
