Maths URGENT HELP Plz

The numbers 225 and 540, witten as the products of their prime factors, are

225 = 3x3x5x5 , 540 = 2x2x3x3x3x5

Find the smallest possible integer value of n for which 225n is a multiple of 540.

that's simple...u basically have to find LCM!! so LCM of these two nos. will be 900
now find n => 900/225 = 4
so n = 4!!!

so the LCM is actually 2700 not 900...i made a mistake in the calculation....sorry for the delay in answering anyways..
n is therefore 2700/225 = 12
Ans. is 12
This is the correct answer!!!!

the problem is simpler than having to find the LCM...
U just hve to consider the prime factors which are not common to both 225 & 540...so,
n = 2 x 2 x 3 = 12

i have done the question in my post later...i said that i did a mistake i think u didnt read my next posts...but the way u did..i am not sure..abt that...but i guess that's correct may be...dont have time to think but seems correct

hey..it's pretty much ze sme as u r doing LCM...
LCM = 225n = prime factors of 225 x 2 x 2 x 3
so, n = 2 x 2 x 3= 12

hpe u understand...it's much straightforward n saves time during exam...

didn't quite understand wat u did...
u hve to measure the length of AB on the map (in cm)...
suppose AB is 5 cm on the map...
5 cm on map represents 1200 cm
1 cm on map represents 1200/5 = 240
so scale is 1: 240
