In the diagram, F is the point on AB where AF = 1/4AB.
E is the midpoint of AC.
AF = p and AE = q.
(a) Express, in terms of p and q,
(i) FE [1]
(ii) BC [1]
(b) D is the point on BC produced such that BD = kBC.
(i) Express FD in terms of k, p and q. [1]
(ii) Given that F, E and D are collinear, find the value of k. [2]
It is actually the second part that I am not getting the answers to though it is a paper one question.
