What did you guyz get for question 17??????
it was this:
"the population of india increased by 20 % from 1999 to 2011.....and the it further increased by 17 % from 2010 to 2012.....work out the percentage increase from 1999 to 2012

Aiyo im sorry i ruined that question,, haiz the paper was so hard,, hope the grade boundary is low .. :/

It is like this : 1) we will assume that the population is 1 (or x)
then after the first increase it will become 1.2(1.2x).......(1*120 / 100)
after the second increase : ( 1.2*117 / 100) = 1.404 #so it became 1.404 in 2012
so to get the increase we will subtract 1 from 1.404 = .404
increase is (.404/1 * 100 ) = 40.4 %
