Re: MAAAthhhh Urgent

Any line passing through the origin...comes under the equation x=y.
Out here they haven't mentioned any other information...so the equation of line comes to x=ky.

@nachiketgandhi :- Any line passing through the origin is not compulsory to come under the equation x=y, because when x=1 then y may, may not =1.
Please can you Explain the 5th question d 2 and e. Mark Scheme is not very helpful !
Thank you :)

OK.
In the question they are asking us to "write down the equation of a "straight line" which passes through the origin".
There are many possibilities.
As we do not have any other information, we have assume the equation to be x=ky, where k is any unit. It can 1, 2, 3, 4, n.
Thats the answer.

5 (d) (ii) :
1). Draw the graph for the equation "y=-x".
2). Then draw the graph for the equation "x/2-2/x=-x".
3). The points where the equation of line "y=-x" cuts the equation of line "x/2-2/x=-x", is the answer.
4). They are asking x so just take the x co-ordinates.
5). Thats the answer.
