Is Urdu compulsory for engineering?

I was thinking of following a career of software engineering but people say you must study Urdu in A levels with subjects such as computer, math etc.
BUT IS IT TRUE? am i supposed to study Urdu for engineering?

No you don't need it. Until now I didn't even know there was an option to take urdu in A-levels.
