O/A Levels is only implemented in private schools, not government ones, so I don't think he can abolish the system. Besides, what could he hope to achieve even if he did so ? As for a united Pakistan, come on, be realistic.

Well, the only reason we are doing the CIEs is because of the incompetency for matric/inter but if Imran Khan comes into power, and IF he does what he claims he will, then abolish or no abolish, won't make a difference as there will be no need for o/a levels if our local education boards will be revived

actually i don't think any such thing will happen, Imran's one of the main objectives is improving education. For that abolishing O/A levels is not a right step. It is actually a pathway to higher studies in foreign universities. Also no matter how much he revives the matric/fsc system, it should be up to children and parents what they want their child to study. In case if Imran becomes successful in taking the pakistan education to international level, then there is definitely no need for o and A levels.

Also as part of being united, education quality matters more than unity in education. It is best if Pakistan's own education system offers the quality education internationally acceptable and also affordable for the people who generally can not afford to give their child the best.

In a way fine, you cant hope to get into good Pakistani public Medical universities if you dont have awesome grades and then everyone still needs to read Fsc for the entry tests. Go ahead. O/A levels in my opinion is more like a shashka. Although the Fsc system has more blunders and leaks and all, the knowledge that they impart is pretty good

Perhaps a bit improvement to IBCC's head Equivilance would do better, for an idealistic person. This just wont be a good step.
