Hey can we use a bunsen burner in a reflux condenser instead of water bath?
Alcohol is highly flammable, and is never to be heated directly with a Bunsen burner. The answer was to use a water bath.

electric heater ?? no ?
Although an electric heater is safer than an open flame, a water bath is still always used. It makes the experiment much more safe and since the boiling point of ethanol never exceeds that of water there is no reason to not use it.
