Reflex action :
for example if ur hand touches a hot plate, an impulse is pickd up by a sensry receptr in ur fingr... it travels 2 the spinal cord along the axon frm the receptr cell, this cell is calld the sensry neurone...
in the spinal cord the neuron passes an impulse onto severl othr neurone like the relay neurone which relays the impulse onto othr neutrone.. it also passes the impulse onto the brain n an effector.. in this case the effectrs are the muscles in ur arm!! the message travels along the axon of a motr neurone. the muscle then contracts so that ur hand is pulld away...
the oevrall understndin is dat 4 reflex action u do not need 2 think about it, ur brain is made aware of it, bt u only consciouly realise wat s happning aftr the message has been sent onto ur muscle..
reflex actns are always involuntary action...

hope it helpd u :)
