There are two hydrates of sodium carbonate. The normal one is Na2CO3.10H2O, the decahydrate which forms colourless crystals. This effloresces in air [loses water of crystallisation] to form Na2CO3.H2O as a white powder.

It cannot be coloured as both ions present are colourless.
