Golf?

I have the membership of a local golf club. I was wondering if I should start playing golf, just for the fun of it. But the idea hasn't REALLY appealed me so far. Has anyone ever played golf? What is it like? Is it really all that lazy, clumsy, old guy's game or is it fun? Is it relaxing, soothing as it seems to be or there isn't something like that?

i guess it sucks at first but it isn't as bad later i think
