Can any one throw light upon getting distinction.
I mean how u get a distinction ,the difference b/w a distinction and a world distinction,and most imp wht u get?

highest marks in= regional distinction

The distinctions are announced in January of the previous year's examinations. For example my distinction for the exam I gave in 2010 May/June session was announced in January 2011. You just get a certificate for your achievement, while the cash awards have been discontinued since the past few years.
You get a world distinction when you get the highest marks in the world in a particular subject. While, you may also get a distinction if you have the highest marks in your country or in your region given that in these cases there is no one who got a World distinction in your region or country.
