Yea distinctions help u differentiate urself from other applicants.
Scholarship depends, if it's a merit scholarship chances are you'll get it if your result in other subjects is good as well. In the US if u get admission then chances are u'll get financial aid because of the high tuition costs in the US. But how much really, not sure. US is in recession.

hmm yeah thats what i wanted to know guys my friend got a distinction in physics but did not get scholarship i wanted to make sure
