Difference between variant 1,2 or 3?

Can someone tell me the difference between the exam variants 1, 2 or 3? I mean other then the fact that they are taken in different locations around the world . Is there any difference in curriculum even slightly between the papers? or either of the variants is slightly more difficult than the others?

theres usually not much difference and if there is the grade boundaries are also different for that variant. although last year i sat variant 2 AS maths p1 and got a C then i did variant 3 after and got 69 so yeahh... it can be BS sometimes
