Chemistry A2 paper 4 doubts...

Hey guys, I have always wondered.. What is the right way of answering chemistry paper 4 in order to obtain full marks for the following type of questions :

1) Can we write chemicals name in their chemical formula without writing the full name?
Let's say question asks for reagents and conditions, instead of writing 'acidified potassium manganate (VII) solution and heat' or can we just write 'KMnO4/H+ and heat' ? Another example would be 'Aqueous Sodium Hydroxide' or simply just 'NaOH (aq)' would do?

2) When question asks to 'GIVE the structure of the product formed' or 'DRAW the structure of the product formed' which we often find under organic questions for benzene rings reaction etc in paper 4. What should be do? Should we DRAW OUT the actual benzene ring together with it's fuctional group or can we just represent the answer in its STRUCTURAL FORMULA? Since the answer scheme often gives the structural formula only, e.g. C6H5Cl

Thanks so much in advance! Cheers =]
