Q6 and Q19. i didn't understand it because 03 and 02. shouldnt it be 0? how is it reduceD?

http://www.xtremepapers.me/CIE/Cambridg ... 8_qp_1.pdf
Q 30? where is carbon in the reactivity scale ?

http://www.xtremepapers.me/CIE/Cambridg ... 6_qp_1.pdf
Q 19. why not copper powder?

http://www.xtremepapers.me/CIE/Cambridg ... 3_qp_1.pdf
shouldn't MP be higher for covalent? why for the ionic bond?

Thanks in advance =) xxx

6) D, it's non-metal. so the electrons at the outer most shell will be 6 and 7

19) B. N2 and NO gain oxygen(oxidise). O3 lose 1 oxygen (reduce)

30) D. carbon is after aluminium before zinc

19) C. copper doesnt react with acid

err.. the paper in 2003 summer, which question are you talking about?

it's ok!
so, do you still need the Q8 answer and explanation?
anyway, i'll write it down.
cuz im going to bed. just incase u need..

ok..
Q8) it's A. SrCl2 is ionic compound. and so, it has high melting point. and ionic compound is soluble in water :D

good luck for tomorrow!!!

i think you need to know this for paper 3.
quite seldom they have limiting reagent question in paper 1.
but, to be secure, better you understand how to calculate it.

hey i got a doubt!!!

thnx!! :D

i think it's D..
coz potassium is high in reactivity.
and it is soluble.
barium sulphate is insoluble. so it can't dissolve in water.
