17 , B , because in the phleom sucrose and amino acid are transported , also water is used as to create a mass flow , so when pest feed on the phloem they will not get fats because it not in the phloem.

Nov 2009

20 , In P , CO2 produced by aerobic respiration is absorbed by soda lime and O2 is absorbed for aerobic respiration so overall gas amount decreased to less pressure exerted on the liquind so it moved to left .
at Q it will stay in position because the amount of O2 absorbed used for respiration will be replaced by CO2 so constant gas amount .

Nov 2007

B , which is the pulmonary vein this because there only 2 main vessesls which transport oxyginated blood Aorta and pulmonary vein , in aorta ( blood flow in high pressure thats why it has thick walls ) , but pulnary is a vein so blood flow in low pressure inside it ..

:)

good luck

17 - but bro, you said it transfers sucrose and amino acids, why is fats affected?!

and november 2007, you did another question? I'm talking about number 15.

17 - that pest feed get there food from ploem of plants . so what will pest not have in there diet so it fat .. they did not ask about the plant diet .

15 - B , this question is weird lol , but it is because palisade are cells responsible for photosynthsis they will use all CO2 (so it used the co2 which are produced in respiration ) . but other cells will respire and release CO2 and it will not absorbed because no photosynthesis happens in them :)

good luck

18 , C , this plant looks that it wilted so it lost water , and those factors in q's is talking about transpiration . so to increase water loss we need to increase transpiration rate .. so low humdity and high light intensity to speed transpiration for more water lost .

33 , A ,LOL this is the wrost q's i saw ... the q's means deos decomposers and animal get there energy from plant ... they are not asking if it they will use light to make there food ... weird .

13 , B , at X air entered air contains CO2 so it will become cloudy , at Y oxygen will enter because the pipe is comming from plant , plant release O2 in photosynthesis so no CO2 so it stays clear .

20 , B , because at P there is a plant which will release O2 so most O2 is in P . and at R air from lungs , air from lungs has high concentration of CO2 ...

36 , D , becuase animal will get there carbon compounds from plants by eating it (get starch) so Y is nutrition , excretion will be decomposed then fossilise then combusted .. they just made it very simple and said excretion ( CIE are weird )

39 , B , because pesticides accumulate most in last trophic level and first tophic level will have least pesticde . large fish will have in between ... i hope u understand ...

:D
