The First cube measures 1*1*1, so its area of a face is just going to be 1cm^2. Since a cube has six faces, its TOTAL surface area is 1*6=6cm^2

The Second cube measures 0.5*0.5*0.5, so the area of a face is going to be equal to 0.25cm^2 (0.5*0.5). Since a cube has six faces, its TOTAL surface area is 0.25*6=1.5cm^2. But there are eight of such cubes so the total surface are of all are 1.5*8=12cm^2

The third is not a cube but a cuboid. It measures 0.5*1*1 if u look at it closely. So the S.A formula is 2*((0.5*1)+(0.5*1)+(1*1))=2*2=4cm^2. Since there are two of such cuboids so the total surface are of all of these are 4*2=8cm^2.:)
