Total momentum be4 collision= 2mu-mu=mu
therefore total momentum after collision shud be=mu
Option A : momentum after= -2mu/3 + 5mu/3=3mu/3=mu (3 cancels out) so this follows conservation of momentum as it same is be4 n after collision.
Option B : momentum after= -2mu/6 + 2mu/3 = mu/3 so this is the ANSWER cuz law of momentum isn't followed
Option C: momentum after = 2mu/6 + 2mu/3 = 3mu/3=mu (3 cancels out) law of momentum is conserved
Option D : momentum after= (2m+m)(u/3)= 3mu/3=mu (3 gets cancelled ) so momentum is conserved here too!!
SO ANSWER IS B!!
hope u understand :)
