In databases, sometimes they make us write our name and candidate number in the report header or footer, but in the cases when the report has multiple pages, after that first page, the pages won't have our name. Is that normal because I'm really worried as they always say that a paper without a name or candidate number won't be marked.

Can anyone help?

Mhm... try putting it in the page footer rather than the report footer, that might work. Using a textbox that is.

Ya but the thing is, in the question paper, they specifically say write your candidate details in the report header.

Yes because what you're working with is a "Report". The report internally, which is, the design view, then has two parts. The report footer where calculations using the details can be made, and then the page footer, where stuff like the page number and your candidate details go.

CIE is not referring to the report footer in which calculations take place, but rather to the page footer. They want to see your name on the report, which is obviously going to be on a page. Hence, you'd put your candidate details on the page.

It's a common mistake, but how exactly do you expect CIE to check your report footer? They're only going to check your printouts, and if your details are visible on each printout, you've secured yourself those marks.

EDIT:- Try to think of it as report(page) header.

Oh okay then. This makes sense now. Thank you! :)
