Why does the primary structure of a protein affects the 3D shape of an Enzyme and it's function. ???
Primary structure is the order of amino acids. The seondary folding is dependant on the side groups and interactions between them which are determined by the primary structure. The teriary is dependant on secondary and so on... Hence if there is any change in primary structure, the final protein shape is disturbed. Enzymes need to have a specifically shaped active site to fit the substrate so if the folding is changed, the active site will be lost.

paper 6 is not at all similar to unit 3 ?
Umm. I never solved old pastpaper questions for Unit 3, but I did for Unit 6.

Unit 6 is COMPLETELY different from Unit 3. Its all planning experiments (20 marks) on the ecosystem with bio-statistics.
I solved the new pastpapers of unit 3
But still look at all of the old pastpapers (from 1,2,4,5) for the experiments in Unit 1 and 2, cauz the old syllabus was different than now

Do you have the bio revision guide?
I mean the units were different than now, like some stuff about the in unit 1 now is not the same in the old syllabus. its different, but look at all of the old pastpaper units for questions about the heart, CF and etc.

The list is as follows:
Daphnia Experiment
Vitamin C experiment
Cell membrane permeability (beetroot)
Enzyme Concentration
Root Tip Squash (mitosis)
Totipotency in plant tissue
Strength of plant fibres
Plant mineral defficiencies
Antimicrobial properties of plants

You need to know about each practical's method, know about factors to control, independent and dependent variables, ethical factors etc

Edexcel will ask you how the procedure of the experiment is done
Memorize the two pages !
I ddnt see the work book actually, just found it online.
If you cant answer it, then its not important, since its useless without answers in the end
Also some of the factsheets I gave you had experiements in them, like vitamin C (I'm not sure, check)
