Here below are some super useful tips to ace the paper 6 exams. Hope they help! :D

1. Paying attention in the practical lessons
I know its much more fun to play around with the equipment in the labs, but at least one of the practical sessions you do in class will come up in some past paper you're doing.

2. Getting a copy of the workbooks that come along with your IGCSE textbook.
If you have a crappy teacher for biology or something and you've never made any trips to the labs or just never really done anything in general at the labs then try getting some of the workbooks which are especially designed to help you practice skills B and C.

3. Youtube videos
youtube has everything. Need I say more?

4. Practice past papers
Just stating the obvious here :p

5. Read the question over and over again
Its happened before. You describe osmosis, but you don't explain what it has to do with the potato strips. This happens one too many times

6. Tools of the trade
Helps to know what a test tube looks like, what is used for mixing, etc

7. Knowing the fundamentals
Its important to know the basic stuff, whether you're doing biology or chemistry or even Physics. They are all related and you might have a lot of the syllabus overlapping. A classic example would be when they ask you about acid rain or global warming. That comes in the chemistry, biology and even the E.M syllabus.
You should also know how the test for gases like oxygen or hydrogen etc. Basic stuff

8. Graphs
Sure questions which give you up to 5 marks for plotting. You should know how to read them. Another way people lose marks is by plotting a line graph instead of a column one so read the question right.
Another thing you should remember is that your plotting should take up at least half the grid. This means you need to get your numbering of the axis right.

9. Check out the mark schemes and the general comments after doing the past papers.
This is super important and I cannot stress on this more. Its only when you see the mark schemes do you see the holes in your level of understanding. It also makes you look at the paper from the examiners point of view so you know what they need in your answers to give you that mark which would grant you that oh so prettiful A*

Drink water, get sleep, exercise, rest, all that other important stuff which everyone keeps talking about. :)
Hope these tips help everyone out. If you guys have anymore tips to ace the alt to practical papers feel free to share it down below with everyone :p
remember one thing: the harder you study the luckier you'll be :)
*drum roll*

AND MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!!!!!!
