Hi! :)
When is it appropriate to use a normal approximation for a poisson distribution??
Wikipedia says when the lambda is greater than 10,

Mark schemes usually, well most of the time show it as >15
¥ represents lambda.
If X~Po(¥)
¥>15 then X is approximately equal to Y~N (¥,¥)
Continuity Correction must be applied.
