    Anything for Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint?

Looking through site files for Cambridge Checkpoint, but there's nothing for Secondary 1, I believe. Are there plans to include the files? I've been waiting for a long time, but no joy. Does anyone have any useful links for Secondary 1? Please share, thanks!

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

This question isn't related to exams. I found a post on FB on a National Geographic launch of a HOUSE using 300 8-foot weather balloons. Is it true or a hoax? :D

How much marks do I need to get in order to get a C in Core Maths?

I suppose it is likely. I can't say for certain, you know. No one can, until the grade boundaries are determined. A C should be an average mark. If you're an average student, you're likely to get a C. If the average students around you are putting in extra effort, you should, too. After all...

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

Your Math formulas are occasionally useful, but I assume you already know them, so no.

How much marks do I need to get in order to get a C in Core Maths?

No... I said aim for 70%, because... then you would have a safety margin. Wise man say, if you want to hit hawk, aim for eagle. If you want to hit eagle, aim for moon.

HELP! I‘m a Chinese,i cannot understand something about papers

Paper 12 means Paper 1, variant 2. You can say that variants are made available so that each country can choose the version of a paper that is most suitable for its students. Variants are versions, of a paper, that takes into account the environment of the student.

physics paper 1 preparation help needed !!!

P1 is more or less an overview of the entire syllabus. If you are prepared for P3, P1 should not be a problem. Unless you are studying only for those questions that generally come out in P3. It also helps in P1 if you know the shortcuts to arrive at the correct answer without doing all the work...

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

If you just want to PASS, then the equations are fine. If you want an A*, you're going to need to do more than that. Pretend that you have to *teach* your fellow students. If you feel prepared to do that, then you may be able to get that A*. Good luck.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

One more reply to this one. Most types of power stations use a form of energy that produces heat. The heat itself cannot be used to turn the generators, because we need KE to turn turbines, not HE. So we use the heat to produce steam, which has KE (water has less volume than steam, and higher...

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

Aha! Now we have the missing bit of information -- the area means the triangle can have only one height. a) Either side of the triangle x sin P = height of the triangle, the other side being the length. This is simplified by the formula for area A = 1/2 * base * height = 1/2 * r * q *...

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

I'd like to know the answer to this one, too. :) If only the length of two sides OA and OB are known, the triangle is like the two hands of a clock -- it can form any triangle with and acute angle AOB... ;)

Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Post your doubts here!

Answer to Q2 is wrong in terms of units. It should be 50 seconds, not 50 hours. Because the acceleration is 10km/h per second, not 10km/h per hour.

Draw a diagram. Makes it clearer and easier to solve. (the weight of the meter rule acts from the middle of the rule, because the rule is uniform) i) If loop A is slack, moment around loop B=0; s = distance from B; .: 0.9N(20cm) = 2N(s) s = 9cm from loop B, towards the near end. ii) If...

Re: Maths made easy =) stuck sumwhere?Ask ur doubts here!! Triangle ABC has sides AB=AC. A line CD is drawn to side AB. Another line BE is drawn to side AC. If <EBC=60°, <BCD=70°, <ABE=20° and <DCE=10°; Find <EDC geometrically.

    HELP PLEASE :(

You need to check with the university you are intending to apply at. Bear in mind that you are competing for entrance with everyone else, and that only the best make it, unless you are able to BUY a place for yourself. Therefore, better averages and more A*s result in better chances.

to PHYSICS PAPER 3: I HATED UUUU !!!

Cool. I can't wait to see the papers. :) I LIKE hard papers. :) Another thing though -- if you survive O & A level Physics, you'll find Physics in University a lotta fun. :D Seriously. O and A levels are so boring and tedious. Cheers.
