Hey guys,
Hope you did well today. I just wanted to clear some doubts on the following:
- There was a transformation question.. it was shear I guess. What was the invariant?? i wrote Y-axis.. not sure!
- There was another question about the gradient of two parallel lines.. was it 5/4?? (1.25)
- And one last one.. what was the inverse of the function??

- Shear, scale factor 2, Y-axis invariant.
- I did it 5/4 but some people are saying its 2.5, I'm really not sure.
- ³√x² - 5 - 2 .. If you can't read that it was cubic-root of (x-squared minus some number I can't remember) then minus another number (that second number was outside the cubic root)

The invariant should be x-axis by factor 2.
The inverse should be (cube root of x-5) all -2
Btw what variant did u get I was variant 2.

If u see the matrix for stretch by factor h parallel to y axis is
(1 0)
(0 H) where h=2.
so x-3=2
x=3+2
X=5

That's right, I wrote the same!

I dont remember the question exactly but I remember getting +3 and -3 as the answers! :/
did we have to use any formula? hw is the value 4 k 1.25? din we have to divide by 2?

Yes, the question has 3 marks. Type (which is shear), invariant (which is Y) and scale (which is 2), you a mark on each whether they're all correct or not
