why did zia-ul-haq imprison bhutto 4 2yrs before hanging him?
i need 3 solid reasons 4 this q.

1.Bhutto asked the military to intervene and Zia saw it as a sign of weakness so he overthrew the govt and took over,making an excuse that Bhutto's govt. was corrupt
2. He did not want trouble such as protests and uprisings from Bhutto, u can judge by the fact that when Zia, did release him Bhutto started protests and therefore trouble for Zia
3.Zia was unsure with what to do with Bhutto as it was Bhutto who had instated him as Chief of Army staff by crossing him over the ranks of generals who already were in the waiting list
At the same time he did not want himself to be regarded as weak. Zia could veto to Bhutto's hanging if a plea came from Bhutto
Bhutto did not make one, while many people called for a plea on his behalf
it was rejected
Probably Zia was very annoyed with Bhutto he just hanged him
