Physics exam 31 came from heeeeeel!!!!! What is wrong CIE

Re: Physics exam 31 came from heeeeeel!!!!! What is wrong CI I wrote it was shiny :D. Wrote it while the invigilator was pulling the paper from me. I think the stomach is either dark except for a certain point or the light coming from the fibre optic is being reflected inside and illuminated shit.

But i mean , doesn't it make sense that if we have a 6v supply and we want the heater to get 3.6 then the resistor should be getting 2.4. It's like a potential divider.

    Pysics Paper 31 (Discussion only)

well , i think your current is definitaly correct because dividing 2.4 by 1.25 got me 1.92 which i remember getting in the exam. so the power should have been 1.25 x 3.6 = 4.5 wat

hmm. I think i subtracted 3.6 from 6 to get 2.4. I mean if we want the heater to get 3.6 , then the resistor needs to get 6-3.6 :P. and ofc 2.4/1.25 = 1.92

    Pysics Paper 31 (Discussion only)

Well , i think he gave us the power then said what would the current be if the optimal P.D. was present. Optimal P.D> was 3.6 i think yea. and i think the current was like 2.5 , but it's kinda of foggy.

How did you arrive at that. I just took the value of resistance that would have provided the same current as we got in the first question.

Two parallel lamp , with one lamp having it's own switch and then one switch for the whole circuit.

did you get the same? , resistance that is

I just wrote no movement ;>. It would be like you trying to push a building. Nothing happens.

Physics exam 31 came from heeeeeel!!!!! What is wrong CIE

Re: Physics exam 31 came from heeeeeel!!!!! What is wrong CI I did the same dival. I know it's weird , but i can't think of any other way. the calculation of the mass from the values in the table produced un even mass. And of course there was initial static friction to consider which would mean...

    Pysics Paper 31 (Discussion only)

Well , erm. No acceleration is true , but since we're considering a trolley that was never moving. Then it wouldn't be moving if there was never any acceleration to start with. And i mean , the case is rather obvious. There was static friction preventing the trolley from moving. So initial force...

    Pysics Paper 31 (Discussion only)

Was that a question o.O. Do you mean what was happening to the acceleration before 1.2?

Physics exam 31 came from heeeeeel!!!!! What is wrong CIE

Re: Physics exam 31 came from heeeeeel!!!!! What is wrong CI That's the same thing i said early on :P. Well , confirmation is nice anyways.
  17. U

    Pysics Paper 31 (Discussion only)

Nothing , static friction was preventing it's movement.

Well , now that i think about it. Sadly the name won't change if the radiation was beta. Because neutron decays , producing a proton , an anti-neutrino and an electron. So the number of stuff in the nueclus won't change. It would be a different isotope but i can't recall if that was indeed the...

    Pysics Paper 31 (Discussion only)

The question about why the radioactive sample wouldn't have the same name afterwards. I kinda of made the assumption that the radiation was Beta , so neutrons would be decaying.
