Physics Paper 5 discussion and expected gt !!!

yep and that's what is tricky. If you missed the word 'square' the whole thing goes wrong.

Physics Paper 5 discussion and expected gt !!!

yeah but some people may have calculated the area wrong. calculating the area was the tricky part. other than that it was good.

    Biology paper 52

He did? I wrote about mass, caffeine, drugs and distance between electrodes

    Biology paper 52

For that I wrote these stuff should be stardardized: Make sure none of the females drank any coffee or any substance containing caffeine because this speeds up nerve impulse transmission. All the females should not be drug-users (drugs also affect the speed of transmission) The distance...

    Area stained brown

    Biology paper 52

Crap.. iodine is used to test the presence of starch x_x So if all the starch is hydrolyzsed, the solution should remain brown? So I messed that one up then :')

    Biology paper 52

I explained the trend, that the area of brown zone decreases from sample A to F. This means the amylase concentration decreases, so thus the no. of repeats for the gene decreases from A to F. Not sure if its right though I just couldn't think of any other explanations :/

    Biology paper 52

You mean the one with samples A to F ?
  9. samantha liyanage

    Biology paper 52

I wrote about different intensities of the blue-black color since not all the starch is hydrolyzed in one, and in the other all of it was hydrolyzed. Then the intensity of the colour was measured using a colorimeter and compared. Also bio-sensors and dipsticks could be used.. right?

    Biology paper 52

What did you guys write for the beta-amylase and gamma-amylase question? The one on the second page..with the 2 beakers?
  11. samantha liyanage

    Biology paper 52

    sort of i guess :')

    Biology paper 52

that does sound right. But, the concentrations we might find may not be the concentrations we're preparing so then we might have a problem with comparing the the two areas :/
  13. samantha liyanage

    Biology paper 52

you can find it out using the graph aswell both ways are fine :)
  14. samantha liyanage

    Biology paper 52

in q1 we're supposed to find the area of the brown area. by keeping the enzyme solution in the well to find out the unknown concentration using c1v1=c2v2

    Biology paper 52

yep it's used when it's continuous and comparing 2 means.

    Biology paper 52

Whenever they are comparing 2 sets of means, it is always t-test

    Biology paper 52

    umm around 21 ?

    Biology paper 52

Pretty much the same :/ the threshold is going to be high.

How was the paper ? Don't discuss any questions please :)
