Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

Alright, could anyone help me with this? It's from M/J/2012, Paper 22. Question B7, e)i). Copper (ii) chloride can be prepared by the reaction between copper (ii) carbonate and hydrochloric acid. Write the ionic equation for this reaction. The answer they've given is CO3(2-) + 2H(+) ---> CO2 +...

Post here all chemistry reactions with their conditions which u think are important!

Yeah, that was another error. It was my first time typing all these equations on a computer so I messed up. I've rechecked them all and have added respiration, photosynthesis and fermentation, too.

No problem. Oh, yeah. It's C2H4Br2. That was a little typo on my part. Fixed it.

Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

I've heard that even teachers aren't sure what the answer is to this one. I'll go with A because we have to note "ALWAYS TAKES PLACE" which means that we might even be using Copper electrodes. In every case, copper is deposited. For some reason, no one seems to bother thinking about the copper...

Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

I regret to say yes. You're best off using the marking scheme. If you have problems with questions before the marking scheme, you can discuss them here. The biggest mistake I've ever seen in Redspot is the question 11 from paper 1 of June 1999. It should be A but they've given it as B. I argued...

It's alright. I was confused the first time as well.

Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

Ah, I know what's confusing you. If you're using Redspot past papers, they've given the wrong answer. It's A actually. It's given correctly in Classified and my teacher also marked it correct when it came in our test. It's A, not B.

Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

You're the pot calling the kettle black. Stop misleading others, man. Here's what the syllabus says: "describe steels as alloys which are a mixture of iron with carbon or other metals and how controlled use of these additives changes the properties of the iron, e.g. high carbon steels are...

Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

The higher the carbon, the harder the steel but the more brittle it is, too. Think of it this way, something that is very hard is also very stiff and does not bend easily. If you try to bend it, it will break - like a pencil. But a soft thing - like an eraser - will bend without breaking and is...

    O'levels Literature Candidates in HERE.

Yeah, the same. And we had done the extract question from The Importance of Being Earnest, too, in our mock exams though the passage we got in school was slightly longer.

    O'levels Literature Candidates in HERE.

Compared to the questions we did in school, I'd say the paper was pretty easy, especially the Death of a Salesman questions. And the first question from Stories of Ourselves had been done in our class, too. But the thing with literature is that you never know what you're going to get until you...

Oh, yeah. I wrote that point too. Forgot to mention it. I only recalled it when I saw the next part of the question.

This is what I did: Artificially selected seeds for best traits. Fertiliser for best nutrients. pH suitable. Temperature suitable for photosynthesis and to prevent wilting by too much transpiration. Water supply for photosynthesis. Light intensity adjusted by using 'grow lights'. There are no...

Stomach is incorrect as an answer since we had to write something OTHER THAN the stomach. And the surface view meant that we had to draw those kidney shaped guard cells. Curses! I was sure until the end that it was supposed to be batch system. Oh, well. I'm just glad that I'll never have to...

    Biology - teeth

Time's up. I wrote liver and small intestine. Biotechnology, which seems to be the write answer since almost everyone wrote it. I messed up the drawing in the start. Ended up drawing the cross section instead of the surface view. FML.

It was alright. I'm hoping for an A* even though Bio was never my strong suit. I still think it could've been better. I can't exactly discuss the questions right now so maybe tomorrow. How was yours?
