James Wan proved himself to be a great horror movie director.

He already proved it with the first SAW film, but that is more of a psychological thriller than horror but whatever. I am glad you loved it and that is what matters. So, any other recommendations from me?

In terms of genre.

I have yet to see Insidious and Insidious Chapter 2, two other movies directed by him.

So i watched 30 minutes of the girl with dragon tattoo then stopped. Which one should i watch now?

Okay, so this is really 10/10 material?

Yes, yes it is. You HAVE to see this to believe it. I may be biased because the music score of this film is too brilliant for me to give this a lower score. It perfectly sets and creates the atmosphere of this kind of film, it captures the dark, mature and disturbing themes associated with the film and the book, it even won a grammy for best visual media score.

The Oscars are way biased according to genres and it shows with their history of award giving.

Yes, the movie immensely improves and is better than the book. Although that was not a big of achievement. That is more because the author, Stieg Larrson, died before he could publish them and only his manuscripts were entirely written and the English translation may of not entirely captured the essence of the Swedish one but it is still there.
