It should be CH3COONH2CH2CH2CH2CH3 not amide sorry! Thanks for correcting me propyl ammonium ethanoate like ammonium ethanoate where one of the hydrogen is replaced by propyl group

When aniline (aminobenzene) is steam distilled during its preparation from Nitrobenzene the distillate contains water and aniline. Aniline is soluble in water. So you transfer the distillate to a separating funnel and add ether. Shake (carefully etc etc). Aniline is more soluble in ether so the...
