    Why would one get a distinction? As far as I know, if it's a tie among students, then all of them would hold the highest percentage.

    Agreed with remz .. but Sociology isn't difficult and nearly takes four months to complete .. even business studies would be easier and suitable .. another reason for taking extra subjects is somewhat like.. some students take science subjects in O Levels and then in A Levels they go for...

    Agreed with Micky .. 80-89 marks = A grade 90 above marks = A* .. recently A was 90+ now A is 80+ this is how it has changed.. recently b was 80+ now b is 70+
