Organic chemistry reactions. ALL REACTIONS! Pleaseeeeeeee - DESPERATE

In the AS flow chart. There's either a mistake or I'm mistaken. Please correct me if I'm wrong. After the aldehyde is added to cyanide and that ethan-1-olnitrile? is formed, it is then reduced and the CN group becomes a CH2NH2. Shouldn't it just be NH2?
