    Alevels PHYSICS PRACTICAL 34 Prediction.

Sometimes when you're taking a reading, the error isn't only due to the measuring instrument. For example, if you're measuring the height of a weight (from the table) suspeded from a spring, the weight bobs up and down a bit so you have to take that into account as well. That's why in different...

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

    1. Cl2 + Mg ---> MgCl2 and 1/2 Cl2 + Na ---> NaCl Chlorine reacts with Mg to form MgCl2 bu reacts with Na to form NaCl. So twice the number of moles of Cl react with Mg (X) compared to Na (Y). This option is correct. 2. Again, Cl2 reacts with H2 to form 2HCl: Cl2 + H2 ---> 2HCl...

    Physics: Post your doubts here!

For Q9, use the equation of motion s= ut + 1/2 at^2 We are only considering vertical velocity at the moment so: s=8, u=0, a=9.81 and you have to find t. If you put these in the formula you'll get the time as 1.27s, so C is the answer. Fpr Q15, the 4N force has no effect on the moment about the...

    How did Physics P2 go?

If you remember the diagram the firnges were given as rectangles, yes? The lines which showed the ends of the 36mm length were both at the middle of dark fringes. If you counted from the middle of the first dark fringe to another till the middle of last one, you'd get 16 fringe separations in 36mm.

    How did Physics P2 go?

Momentum before the collision= Momentum after it and give each direction a sign. For eg: I wrote the velocities to the right as positive and to the left as negative. The answer was 0.3m/s (to the left). My efficiency was 97.3%

    How did Physics P2 go?

The e.m.f was 1.5V and current was 0.18A. So you could find the total resistance using R=V/I. The gave said that the resistance of the variable resistor was set to 6 ohms i think and internal was 0.2ohms. So subtract the variable resistor's resistance and internal resistance from the total you...

    How did Physics P2 go?

IRa + IRb= E-Ir - you get this if you rearrage your formula so if you took IRa + IRb as p.d across AB you should get 1.46V as the ans which is correct

    How did Physics P2 go?

Don't you mean resistance? Didnt they give current as 0.18A?

    How did Physics P2 go?

you had the vertical distance, initial vertical velocity (0m/s) and vertical acceleration (due to gravity)= 9.81. So you could use s= ut + 1/2at^2 and make time 't' the subject to find the time taken for the ball to reach the ground. The ball travels a horizontal distance of 1.5metres during...

    How did Physics P2 go?

Yeah thats what we had to do. Did you convert the extension and diameter to metres? Both were in millimetres I think

    How did Physics P2 go?

Generally, that would be correct. However, in the b part they asked 'what is observed at P when the following vhanges are made to part a' In part A the waves were in phase ast D1 and D2 but they were out of phase at P so destructive interference occured. The path diff was 4cm which is (4/1.6)...
  12. F

    How did Physics P2 go?

Constructive interference because waves are in phase (path diff nlambda) at P so the displacements of D1 and D2 add to give the resultant displacement.

    How did Physics P2 go?

The fringe separatiom can be from dark to dark fringe or from light to light. If you counted from dark to dark fringe from one end to the other in the diagram youd find that 16 fringe separations= 36mm. So I just divided it by 16 instead of multiplying it by 2

    How did Physics P2 go?

No we just had to calculate the loss in G.P.E and final K.E which was followed by the 1 mark question asking about the difference.

    How did Physics P2 go?

Are you talking about the young modulus question? Everyone I know got 0.13TPa for that one.
