    No , the waves are passing through a gap ( the straight waves hit on obstacles) making them bend and therefore diffract check your book the chapter about waves.

    Beta is into the page (which means towards the north, hence upwards and the current flows to the left not the right as you will use the right hand rule because you don't know the current if they were asking for the force then you will use the left hand rule.)

    After you do that you just got the resistance of the two resistors what about resistor R how are you going to get it ? Look i used the total current and the total voltage(6v) to get the total resistance then i subtracted the total resistance from 1.2ohms and i got my answers , lets not turn this...

    Pressure is the same across the oil , not across the pistons. Anyway's what is done is done :).

    Well piston Y had a larger Area and larger Force hence pressure will be less acting on piston Y pushing it a samller distance than piston X , that is what i wrote. Inshallah we will All get A*'s say Amen.

    At first i got 1.8 ohms as the resistance but then that is the total resistance of the circuit what i did was get the total resistance and the resistance of the parellel resistors then subtract both and i got a 1.1 ohms .

    So she wrote exactly what i wrote mashallah , i just made a mistake in the nematodes part i lost 3 marks in that. The rest was hamdilliah good.

    Inshallah brother am doing it tomorrow too :) , I have my english after 5 hours. Math p4 is just 4 day's away no time to waste brother time to take everything seriously.
